Our Iron Sulphate is a quick and easy way to lift your lawn. It’s an essential lawn nutrient that gives grass that rich green colour. This makes your garden look bright and vibrant, but it has other benefits, too! Green grass is a sure sign your lawn is in good health.
Helps Resist Weeds and Disease
A healthy lawn means a lawn that’s more capable of fighting off pests, disease, and weeds. Many of these issues can cause yellow, bare lawn, but only if the grass isn’t strong enough to muscle them out. By strengthening each blade of grass from root to tip, Iron Sulphate will help your lawn look lush and green all year round.
Hardens Turf, Softens Grass
Iron sulphate helps grass retain more moisture, which helps fend off frost and drought. It also encourages healthy root growth. Both of these things combine to make grass feel softer and turf feel firmer, as the roots bind soil together more effectively. This means your lawn simply feels nice to spend time on, and it’s why iron sulphate is essential for sports pitches and golf courses.
Lowers Soil pH
Once watered down into the soil, iron sulphate makes it slightly more acidic. This makes your lawn less appealing to common pests like chafer grubs, and it’s beneficial when growing vegetables, too.

Each tub of iron sulphate offers amazing value. 1kg covers up to 1000 square metres, so you can apply it seasonally to keep your lawn looking its best all year round.
How to Use
- For best results, apply just before rainfall.
- Mix it with water (rates below) and apply using a pump sprayer or watering can.
- Water down thoroughly into the soil.
Grass Greening
Mix 1-2g of Iron Sulphate per 1L of water. 1L of the solution will cover 1m² of grass.
Turf Hardening
Mix 2-3g of Iron Sulphate per 1L of water. 1L of the solution will cover 1m² of grass.
Please ensure you do not use Iron Sulphate products on hard surfaces as this can cause staining
